Accessing data as simple tables and charts in WaDE is really very easy. To learn more about datatypes that are shared in WaDE (e.g. Aggregated vs. Site-specific data), please click here or see the tutorial at the bottom of this page. To view all available reports by location rather than by datatype, use the Search by Location portal. If you are a developer and want to build an application using the WaDE API and web services, please check out our developer section on the “How WaDE Works” webpage.
Select a Datatype...
Select from aggregated (summary) or site specific (detail) data categories and view different datatypes by switching between tabs. Reporting unit types can be selected from the list on the map. Zoom to a state or region where you’d like to retrieve data. Only those areas with available reports for a given datatype will be shown on the map. Available data may vary by summary area (custom summary areas, Hydrologic Unit Codes (HUCs), or counties).
View Available Reports...
Once you’ve found your location of interest, you can view available reports within the area in the popup.
Data are shared as tables and charts, and the underlying XML can be used to support new applications. If a state isn’t sharing the data you’re interested in yet, join the WaDE community to make a data request.
